Marching bands from high schools in Duarte and Long Beach (Jordan and Polly) and middle schools in Lynwood and San Pedro.

A number of local dignataries and elected officials participated in the parade including: Councilmembers Robert Garcia, Dee Andrews, Gerrie Schipske, Tonia Reyes Uranga, Rae Gabelich and Val Lerch; County Supervisor Don Knabe; City Manager Pat West; Police Chief Billy Quach; LBCC Board Members Roberto Uranga and Jeff Kellogg, and members of the Human Dignity Commission.

For the second year, the last unit in the parade was the "Freedom Walk in Support of Our Troups." Parade spectators are invited to join in and follow the walkers to the park.

After parade activities included food, entertainment, vendor fair and a ceremony recognizing this years Grand Marshals: Ramon Rodriguez, Carsten Sorenson, Christopher Martin and Freedom Walk Honoree Lydia A. Hollie.
