Willmore City Heratige Association (WCHA) has been involved in the purchase, moving and restoration of old homes for several years. About five years or six years ago, they were discussing several houses with the City. According to Cheryl Perry, "this house didn't have and address and was sitting up on blocks [in a lot on 3rd Street after being moved to make way for the construction of Caeser Chavez School]...so, in trying to describe which house we were talking about, we'd refer to it as 'the house that was moved for the school' and somehow the name got shortened to 'School House' and the name stuck."

The "School House" became the second rehabilitation project for WECA. The project entailed buying the house from the City, working with RDA to find a lot for the house and acquiring it, building foundation and then moving the house. Once all that had finallly occured, the actual rehabilitation of the house could begin.
Various members of WCHA used their expertise to plan, supervise and complete the rehabilitation which included wiring, plumbing, designing and installing a modern kitchen, interior decoration, repair and painting of the exterior followed by landscping. Once the project was complete, the fully renovated house was recently sold.
